{"id":204,"date":"2023-06-09T05:10:05","date_gmt":"2023-06-09T03:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/esf\/?page_id=204"},"modified":"2023-08-21T14:29:15","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T12:29:15","slug":"eu-moldova","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.esf.be\/new\/bilateral-negotiations\/eu-free-trade-agreements\/eu-moldova\/","title":{"rendered":"EU-Moldova"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 27 June 2014, &nbsp;the European Union and Moldova signed an&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:22014A0830(01)&amp;from=EN\">Association Agreement<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/EN\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:22014A0830(01)&amp;from=EN\"><\/a>&nbsp;and have&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/trade.ec.europa.eu\/doclib\/press\/index.cfm?id=994\">applied it provisionally since 1 September 2014.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Agreement introduces a preferential trade regime \u2013 the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2014, covering the start of DCFTA application, EU exports to Moldova amounted in 2014 to EUR 2.35 &nbsp;billion, an increase of 3% since 2013. Key exports are machinery and appliances, mineral products, transport equipment, and chemical products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same period, the EU imports from Moldova grew very dynamically. Total imports increased by 20%, to EUR 1.16 billion. Imports of agricultural goods grew particularly strong, noting a 30% increase.
